THE SCENARIO...

    Cryptocurrency is now a new thing to invest and grow your money. As I did some research about it, I stumbled across on this crypto called Duino-Coin. Duino-Coin is a for-fun project that is designed to be mined by low power devices. It was founded in 2019 by a team of young developers which uses the name revox. The project aims to be a good starting point for the newbies (like me) to get a better grasp about how crypto mining works.

GETTING STARTED...

    By browsing on their website at https://duinocoin.com , it gives a comprehensive, step-by-step guide on how to setup your very first mining rig, you can even start mining immediately once you fully set-up your account and the application that is used to mine.

    The very first thing to be done is your account to setup your Duino-coin wallet, a wallet is essentially where you place your mined coins, similar to the different crypto-network. After setting up the wallet, the website also asks you what device will be used in mining, then it will provide the list of instructions with your device of choice. For as long as you are connected to stable internet connection plus the mining setup you chose, you can immediately start earning which can be tracked in the Duino-coin wallet section.

    Verification is also required in order to show that you are not cheating. Just a simple photo of your username and the mining platform or also known as rigs can be used as a verification, with a wait time of just a few hours, you will be verified.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

    Unlike other miners that require a big warehouse full of mining rigs such as GPU's, mine only has two Arduinos and a laptop to begin with. Each Arduino only has a Hashrate of around 340 H/s (Hashes per second). Hashrate is defined as the speed of the miner to essentially 'mine' the crypto. Aside from having low hashrate, it has the highest solve reward, it is because Duino-coin is really designed to be mined by Arduinos.

    Before I end mining, my devices made about 233 Duino-Coin (DUCO) which is equivalent to 0.036248 USD as of 8:35 Pm (GMT +8:00), July 14, 2024 which can tend upwards or downwards as of the time you reading this. 

HOW TO TRADE DUINO-COIN TO OTHER CRYPTOCURRENCY?

    You can't directly trade DUCO to other Cryptocurrency with trusted trading sites such as Binance, but, you can, however, trade it on the DUCO official discord server which can be found on their website. 

    There are also different websites according to the DUCO website itself, that trades DUCO in other cryptos such as fluffy swap, pancakeswap, sushiswap, etc. But be careful! There are some people who says that the swap is a scam and DUCO has no value in the real market. 

    As of now (2024), all the youtube links, google links, forums, and other source of tutorials on how to exchange DUCO to other Crypto was way back almost three years ago (2021). Take a look at this reddit post for example: https://www.reddit.com/r/Duinocoin/comments/m4uu8o/is_this_coin_legit/

    Being 'outdated contents' is a major redflag for me as it questions the legitimacy of the project and its payout capabilities.


LAST WORDS...

Crypto Background

    For me, my experience with mining Duino-Coins is great. It covers almost all of the fundamentals of cryptocurrency, it is open-source, and lets other developers make their own network from this. But if you are planning to earn and invest on mining DUCO, I dont think that makes a good profit, considering that this was a "for fun" project and shady swapping transactions, in addition, there are other crypto there that is worth to mine specially for long term investors that is profitable, and most importantly, more secured.
